What to do when your card has mistakenly been locked

If your card has been lost, it can be locked to prevent it from being used for any transactions. It may also be locked automatically because of a suspect purchase. If that happens, and you are certain that there hasn't been an illegitimate purchase, you can unlock your card using the Expend mobile app or web app.

Unlocking your card

In the mobile app

  1. Tap Cards at the bottom of the screen.

  2. Select the card.

  3. Tap Unlock Card.

In the web app

  1. Go to app.expend.io and sign in with your Expend account details.

  2. Click Cards in the menu on the left.

  3. Go to the card and click the βš™ (Card Security Settings) button on the right.

  4. Click the Enable card setting so that it slides to the ON position.

  5. Click Close. The card shows Active when it is unlocked.

Inbox users

  1. Go to app.expend.io and sign in with your Expend account details.

  2. Open the sidebar menu, go to CARDS & PAYMENTS, and click Expend Cards.

  3. Go to the lost card and click the βš™ (Card Security Settings) button on the right.

  4. Click the Enable card setting so that it slides to the OFF position.

  5. Click Close. The card is shown as Active.
