Troubleshooting contactless payments

Chip and PIN for your first transaction

In order to fully activate your card, your very first transaction should be performed at a standard Chip and PIN terminal where you insert your card and enter your PIN. After this, contactless payments will be available.

Is Contactless Transactions enabled for your card?

Ensure that Contactless Transactions are enabled for your card. To check whether it is enabled, do the following.

In the web app:

  1. Open the sidebar menu, go to CARDS & PAYMENTS, and click Expend Cards.

  2. Go to your card and click the ⚙ (Card Security Settings) button on the right.

  3. Check that the Online transactions switch is turned ON.

In the mobile app:

  1. Go to the Cards screen and select your card.

  2. Check that the Online Transactions switch is turned ON.

If the setting is not enabled, please ask your administrator to enable it. This can be done in the web app. For more information, see Changing card security settings.

On specific occasions or at certain places

If contactless payments usually work, but keep failing at a specific vendor, please let us know the details.
