With Bulk Review, you can approve multiple expenses in one go. The Bulk Review page gives an overview of all the expenses submitted per user or team. You can then approve all the selected expenses with a single click.
Bulk Review is available to users with the Administrator or Financial Reviewer role, as well as users assigned as Reviewers on approval flows.
Getting started
In the menu on the left, go to WORKSPACE and click Bulk Review.
At the top of the Bulk Review summary, use the options to select which review items you want to see. By default, all expenses were your review is required are shown (see ℹ️ below for more information). Use the dropdown list to select whether your want to see expenses per user, per team, or simply all expenses.
If you selected Group by user or Group by team, select the user or team whose expenses you want to review.
Under Expenses, review the selection of expenses that are ready for approval. All expenses are selected by default. Clear the checkboxes of expenses you don’t want to approve. Use the checkbox at the top to select all or clear all.
Click Approve this step to approve your step in the expense approval flow for all selected expenses. The expenses move to the next step in the flow.
If you are an Administrator or Financial Reviewer, you can also click Approve all steps to skip any subsequent steps.
ℹ️ Users with the Administrator and Financial Reviewer can also choose between the following:
My Review shows all expenses where your review is required as the next step in an approval flow.
All shows all expenses currently awaiting review, regardless of which approval flow step they are on.
Reviewing expenses in Bulk Review
Once you have selected a user or team (or all), the right side of the Bulk Review page has two tabs: Expenses and Documents.
Expenses
You can approve expenses here by following the steps under Getting started, above. Expenses are grouped by purchase date. This page shows the following “at a glance” information:
The merchant name
The user who raised the expense
The type of expense, category, tax type, and any notes. If the expense has lines with different categories and/or tax types, they will all be shown.

The expense amount
You can drill down into individual expenses with the buttons on the right:
View – open the expense form; you can make changes if necessary.
Review – choose an alternative review outcome (Reject, Request Changes, Leave a comment).
Docs – shows how many financial documents are attached; you can click the button to view the documents.
Documents
With the Documents tab, you can quickly check whether documents attached to expenses are valid. The Documents tab simply shows the main document of each expense in review. Click the preview to see the full document as well as other attachments. Click the Review button to reject, request changes or leave a comment. Approval is still done on the Expenses tab.
